Different types of Braces

In our office, we offer 2 types of braces depending on your orthodontic needs:

Ceramic Brackets and Standard Wire
This appliance uses ceramic brackets on the front teeth and premolars or the "centre-six", but with a standard metal wire. Where possible, we use a white Teflon-coated arch wires can help ceramic braces to blend in . This results in an appliance with very low visibility.

Ceramic braces will increase the cost of your treatment because ceramic brackets may cost several times more than their stainless steel equivalents. A longer treatment time will be required or involve increased treatment difficulties because of factors such as the inconvenience of replacing broken brackets / arch wires.

Standard Brackets and Standard Wire
This appliance is all metal. The brackets and wires that are used are silver in colour. It is the lowest cost and most durable option for fixed appliance treatment.

The cost of the package will vary according to the cost of the material and complexity of the treatment. A typical package the treatment duration will be between 2 to 3 years.

The costs will depend on complexity of orthodontic treatment. Package includes consultation, dental records, CT scan, consumables, a set of retainers, 4 dental extractions, brackets and treatment fees. We do not charge GST.

Other cost not included in the package could include wisdom tooth(teeth) removal, root canal treatment, fillings/restoratives, implants, surgical procedures etc.

The above package serve as a guide and may differ depending on each patient's needs and treatment objective. We are unable to provide a precise costing without a full dental examination and/or CT scan.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligner treatment consists of a series of transparent overlays on your teeth. The overlays contain small modifications, which will gradually apply force to move your teeth.

Removable Appliance

A removable appliance is a plastic plate with some wire attachments that you will need to wear. The wires and the plastic components apply forces to the teeth to achieve movement.
