Medisave

Medisave is a national medical care savings scheme in Singapore. It is one of 3 CPF accounts into which Singapore citizen or PR who makes CPF contributions (or whose employer makes CPF contributions) will have. 

Our dental office is Medisave accredited with the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board and the Ministry of Health (MOH). You can therefore use Medisave to pay for approved dental procedures. You may choose to use Medisave for full /partial payment towards the approved dental procedures.
Procedure for using Medisave
The Medisave account holder will need to sign the Medisave Authorization form before the surgical procedure is commenced.

In addition the following supporting documents need to be produced:
  1. a photocopy of the Medisave account holder's NRIC (both front and back)
  2. documentation indicating the Medisave account balance 
  3. a photocopy of the patient's NRIC (if the patient is not the Medisave account holder)

Please note
  1. We reserve the right to charge an administrative fee for processing Medisave deductions and/or require a refundable deposit in cases where Medisave eligibility is uncertain. This can be for administrative or regulatory reasons or if the balance available may be insufficient. 
  2. Should Medisave withdrawal be refused by CPF Board for whatever reason, you will still be liable to pay the amount in cash or by credit card. 

Immediate family members
CPF Board currently permits your immediate family members to use their Medisave account to help you pay for your surgical procedure. For this purpose, immediate family members are defined as : spouse/parents/child of the patient. Please note that siblings, grandparents, grandchildren will not be considered immediate family. 
Dental procedures you can use Medisave to pay for include :
  • Surgical removal of a tooth/teeth
  • Placement of implants
  • Drainage of Dental and Gum Abscesses
  • Certain types of Bone Grafting surgery (usually involving harvesting bone from a donor site) 
  • Surgical root canal therapy (*this procedure is applicable for re-treatment of teeth that have previously have already had normal Root Canal Therapy done but which still cause the patient problems because of residual infection/inflammation in the bone at the tip of the root. 
Medisave Withdrawal Limit

​The amount of Medisave funds you are able to use for a particular procedure depends on the Withdrawal limit set by the CPF Board (cached page) and the CPF medisave account balance.

Medisave may only be used for procedures specified in the Table of Surgical Procedures (TOSP) published by MOH. As such it cannot be used for general dental treatment such as dental extraction, root canal treatment, dental crowns, restorative( such as crowns, bridges, fillings), orthodontic treatment, dentures, teeth whitening etc. The prevailing regulations and conditions stipulated by CPF Board and MOH will apply.
